One of the things I have added to my calming routines are simple soothing mantras.
The one I love is simply to learn to let go of the things you cannot change. I don't just say this in the morning and evening. I say this throughout the day when I find myself overthinking and focusing on the little things. It helps me to refocus on all things that had to go right for me to be alive. This way I shift the focus to positive things that have happened.
